Medical disclaimer
Rennr is a training tool, not a medical product. Content in the app — including readiness scores, load metrics and AI-generated text — is not medical advice and does not replace consultation with a physician or healthcare professional. Always consult a doctor regarding health, injury or illness. Use of the app is at your own risk.
Data controller
Magnus Alsaker is the data controller for personal data processed in Rennr.

Data we read from Apple Health
Rennr requests access to the following data solely to calculate readiness, training load and recovery:
Workouts (type, duration, distance, heart rate)
Active and resting heart rate
HRV (heart rate variability)
Sleep analysis
VO2Max (Apple Watch estimate)
Date of birth (used only to estimate age and maximum heart rate)
All health data is processed on your device only. Nothing is permanently stored — data is fetched directly from Apple Health and processed in memory.
Data stored locally on your device
The app stores the following data on your device only:
Runner profile: goal, training level and race date
Readiness history: most recent readiness score
Training reflections: RPE ratings and notes
App settings and training phase preferences
AI text cache (PRO only): cached AI-generated text based on your training patterns. This cache contains only the finished text — no raw health data from Apple Health is ever stored in the cache.
This data is automatically deleted when you uninstall the app, or manually via the delete function in Settings → Privacy.
No third-party sharing
Rennr does not sell, share or transmit health data to third parties, advertisers or other services.
AI features (PRO)
AI explanations in Rennr PRO are powered by Apple Intelligence — Apple's on-device AI technology. Standard AI processing happens locally on your device. Some Apple Intelligence features may use Apple's Private Cloud Compute for processing — in these cases, Apple's own privacy policy applies. No data is sent to Rennr or any external service for AI processing. AI features are disabled by default and activated only by you.
Anonymous usage data
We collect anonymous usage events — such as which screens are opened and which features are used — to understand how the app is used and improve it over time. No health data is ever sent. No name, email or identifiable information is collected. Data is processed by PostHog (posthog.com). PostHog processes data in the EU in accordance with GDPR. Where data is transferred outside the EU, PostHog relies on Standard Contractual Clauses as the legal transfer mechanism. You can disable tracking in iOS Settings → Privacy → Tracking.
